Feds Reportedly Release Terrorist ‘Accidentally’

Apr 4, 2024

A report published Wednesday by Newsmax detailed how a Somali man on a federal terrorism watch list was able to remain in the U.S. despite his extensive weapons trafficking and explosives knowledge.

The unnamed 27-year-old man was allegedly released into the U.S. after being detained for crossing illegally into California in March 2023, Newsmax noted. The man was not arrested until January 2024. He was found in Minnesota, and it seems that only Republican lawmakers are concerned with this issue — and are demanding to know how this happened.

“Due to Minnesota’s far distance from the border, it is not an easy task for migrants to travel to the state,” Republicans asked in a letter quoted by Newsmax, pondering whether the individual received help from a non-governmental organization (NGO) to reach Minnesota. “Did the al-Shabbab terrorist travel to Minnesota with the assistance, either direct or indirect of an NGO? If so, which NGO was responsible for transporting the individual to Minnesota?”

Known Terrorist Wandering Free In US

Republican Minnesota Rep. Tom Emmer, who serves as House Majority Whip, said that the Biden administration’s open-border crisis has “allowed a known terrorist to roam freely throughout our state, and now they must answer for their inexcusable negligence.” (LEARN MORE: Biden Sued Over Conservative Censorship)

As we reported in November, serious concerns are being raised by law enforcement and national security officials over heightened terror threats to the United States, particularly due to the nation’s open southern border. FBI Director Christopher Wray and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas have testified that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East has escalated the terrorism threat level.

Wray has warned of potential attacks on American soil by Hamas or other foreign terrorist organizations, and he notes the possibility of these groups exploiting the current conflict.
