GOP Impeaches Mayorkas Over Border

The Republican-led House of Representatives impeached Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas late Tuesday night.
Mayorkas is the first Cabinet secretary to be impeached in nearly 150 years, with a final vote of 214 to 213, according to FLASHPOINT. Just three Republicans voted against impeachment, despite the ongoing humanitarian at our border that Mayorkas appears to have done nothing to stop, and everything to encourage.
Anywhere from 8 to 10 million illegal immigrants have walked into the nation since Mayorkas took office under the Biden administration. It is unlikely Mayorkas will be relieved from his position, but there may be pressure behind the scenes to have him resign. A Different Perspective
MillionVoices CEO John Graves joined Gene Bailey on FLASHPOINT to discuss the impeachment, and what he thinks is perhaps a different way of looking at the situation.
“What’s most exciting to me about this is they didn’t give up,” John the audience with a big smile. “You can’t have a smaller majority than a one-vote majority. [Speaker of the House] Mike Johnson’s got his hands full, we need to be praying for him.”
“But within 24 hours of when the Senate, including whatever — 14, 19 Republicans — are wanting us to spend almost $100 million more to Ukraine, and not do the border,” he continued. “What does the House say? ‘We’re not passing that! In fact, we’re going to impeach this border guy. We want this to be about the border. That’s what the American people are upset about.'”
John said it’s sad that Mayorkas had to be impeached for action to happen, but it is happening. And all of that is down to the voice and strength of the American people.
