Rep Says Gaza Refugees Won’t Be Vetted ‘Properly’

Wisconsin Republican Rep. Tom Tiffany told Newsmax that he believes the Biden administration is incapable of properly vetting potential Palestinian refugees entering the U.S.

Tiffany’s comments come amid rumors from CBS News that the Biden administration is planning to allow Palestinians with immediate family members who are either permanent residents in the U.S. or U.S. citizens to seek refugee status as Hamas continues its terror war against Israel. Senior officials at federal agencies have apparently discussed the feasibility of this option for the many Palestinians who do not support Hamas or their terror attacks against anyone who isn’t also an Islamic terrorist.

There are multiple proposals in play and nothing has been decided yet. But there is one key aspect of the discussions that Tiffany raised concerns over during his conversation with Newsmax host Chris Salcedo. 

Vetting

“Zero admittances to those that have a Palestinian passport. Why should we let people into our country that have committed acts like what happened on Oct. 7 and have consistently shown that they don’t want to live in a civil society?” Tiffany said. “I mean, look at their neighbors. Go to Egypt and other Arabic countries. They don’t want to let them in. Why in the world would we do this?” (LEARN MORE: Multiple States Fear Full Iran-Israel War)

Tiffany’s concerns may also be related to the Biden administration’s total lack of action on the known terrorists and human and drug traffickers walking over our open borders with Mexico and Canada. As Biden and his chosen team have yet to make any meaningful marks on this crisis, Tiffany’s concerns are warranted.

“[W]hy would we trust the Biden administration on this?” Tiffany continued. “We saw this with Afghanistan in August of 2021, where they abused their parole authority and brought 76,000 people in without vetting them.
