Trump Better In Nuke Crisis Than Biden, Poll Finds

A poll conducted by JJ Partners and shared by the Daily Mail in March found that former President Donald Trump was a favorite in multiple areas of national concern in the run-up to the 2024 presidential election, including the potential handling of a nuclear crisis.

The poll found a 56% positive response amongst likely voters on Trump’s ability to handle a nuclear emergency, whereas just 45% felt Biden could do the same. In the same breath, voters preferred Trump (65%) to Biden (43%) in a potential meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Significant Competencies

Analysis revealed that voters feel Trump has an edge over the President in multiple other areas, including the basics, like remembering people’s names and understanding details shared during national security briefings. Only 37% of respondents thought Biden could effectively handle a one-on-one meeting with Putin. And the concern has nothing to do with age. “Though Trump is only three years Biden’s junior, they think he is up to the job and will be able to manage the pressures of the office,” JJ Partners cofounder James Johnson stated. “A lot of this is due to Trump’s presentation, frenetic activity, and regular stump speeches. He is also resting on his political reputation for strength: Voters say strength is Trump’s biggest asset, and that he is more physically strong and able to get things done than Biden. That is all coming together and crystalizing in voters’ minds as a relative positive about Trump.”
